Role Description
About the job
The aim of this role is to assist the design studio with the overall design process and organisation of the Studio. As Studio & Design Intern you will assist all members of the team from design, architecture, FF&E and general studio duties. You will also take ownership of the sample library including details of materials and supplier information being collected, categorised, shared and stored in a user-friendly manner. In addition, you will proactively develop ways to service a busy and demanding design team working on a diverse range of fast-paced projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist all team members from designers, architects, FF&E and Studio Manager
- Research and develop ideas for projects
- Look after the design library
- Assist with answering the door, greeting visitors and refreshments
- Assist with CPD’s and client meetings
- Assist in each stage of the design process including, CAD drawing, FF&E sourcing, and researching concept imagery and design development
- Delivering and installing projects
- Maintain, catalogues and organise an up-to-date Resource Library with stocked material and samples
- Maintain the existing samples, keep spaces tidy, and ensure their correct location
- Develop an understanding of and help facilitate project storage needs, working closely with the Studio Manager
- Help the team organise couriers for sample movement
- Assist designers in general day-to-day requirements of the studio
- Run errands for whole team
- Attend supplier showroom visits and events
- Trips to Chelsea harbour to source new and exciting samples and materials
Qualities, Skills and Experience:
- Either be studying an Interior & Architecture related degree or have just graduated
- Be London based and able to be in the studio 9am-6pm 5 days a week
- Are confident and have a good level of understanding and using software such as: CAD, Adobe, Sketchup
- 3D software is preferred but not essential
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Must be self-motivated and able to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to focus in a very fast-paced environment
- Enthusiastic and capable team player interested in contributing, learning, and growing
- Enthusiasm with interior design
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Internship Details:
- £24,000 per year
- 3 months with option to extend
Location: Sloane Square, London

There is a requirement for the post holder to recognise this and adopt a flexible approach to work.
